Hastings and Bexhill seconds hosted Hove for what was expected to be a hard game. However Hove had travelled without a full front row gifting the hosts with 10 points before the kick off. If this wasn't bad enough for the visitors, then what followed surely was! Coming off the back of a fantastic team performance the week before H&B started strongly with fullback Stokes crossing the line in the corner to start the scoring.
Strong defence and good support play allowed H&B to turn the screw and increase their lead with trys that saw Hove at times chasing shadows.
It was clear that H&B were finding it fairly easy, this allowed an air of confidence to set in and H&B took their foot of the gas which allowed Hove back into the match.
Half time allowed the hosts to regroup and H&B started the second half the same as the first. Within 20 minutes H&B had scored a few more tries and Hove looked a broken side, allowing H&B to score with relative ease.
