Our ladies team had a very successful home game on Sunday. We won 20 - 19 against Blackheath 2nd team.
Blackheath could only produce 10 players so we had to drop numbers again. Due to new rules in our league if the opposition can only put together a team of 10 and we have a full team, we can play with 12 players. Which was very lucky for us as their skills were polished and well executed, it may have been a very different result if they had had more players. We played under 19 rules and uncontested scrums due to the difference in numbers of players. It was an exciting game with Hastings and Bexhill looking very promising. Our skill level was good and we played exceptionally well. They scored first from an attempted drop kick and a very fast winger but Hastings came back to score four tries (no conversions) and claim the points. Two tries for forward Mia Lamb and two for back, Laura White. Forward of the match was Katie Burke, back of the match was Laura White (vice captain). We've now claimed two sets of winning points so are doing well in our league
Thank you to South Saxons Hockey Club who turn up every game to support us.
A minutes silence was observed before the game in aid of remembrance Sunday.
