H&B travelled to Eastbourne for a friendly encounter which kicked off early due to the start of the 6 nations.
It appeared from the start that things may go against H&B as at the start with the referee pulled out and his place filled by an Eastbourne player.
Although the replacement ref did a good job, it allowed Eastbourne to push the off-side line at a lot of plays giving H&B little time to do much. H&B got wise to this and the game started to shift their way, the ball was spun quickly into the centres and cutting run and powerful hits saw H&B make some ground.
The first points of the afternoon came from a scrum which H&B attacked on the blind side which saw Milham go over for the score (converted by Stokes). The game was played at a good pace but ended being a sloppy afair showing brief glimpses of what H&B have been doing over the past few weeks.
Further tries from Harboard and Hollingsworth pulled H&B further ahead.
A late score by Eastbourne only ended up being a consolation try ending the game 19-7.
