Following a positive start to the season against Ashford, Hastings and Bexhill 2nd XV travelled to Robertsbridge for their first league game of the season. A typical start by Hastings and Bexhill saw them leave their heads in the changing room and come out slowly allowing Robertsbridge to exhurt a fair amount of preasure on the visitors line. As with the previous week H & B showed alot of heart and strong defense to keep the home side out for the majority. It took a Robertsbridge try 25 minutes in to wake H and B up who quickly took a hold on the game running in 2 try's before the half time through Potter and Perkins
The second half started much the same as the first with Hastings and Bexhill struggling to get into the grove. Robertsbridge managed to spoil a few lineouts which spoilt some good positions for H and B, but good vision and quick feet saw Madigan, Granger and Perkins rescue the situation on 3 occasions and went on to make good ground for the visitors. H and B used their experienced backline and good support to cross the visitors line another 3 times in the match, with tries for Mcmanus, Dietericks and Kerr
Robertsbridge fought back hard through their forwards and score 2 more tries. However, the as always strong defense kept the game safe for the visitor and H&B ran out 29-17 winners.
