Old Town and Carnival Week

Hastings and Bexhill again this year was involved with serveral things going on over the Hastings Old Town Week.
Tug-o-War
Members of the club took part in the Tug-o-War on Saturday 4th August. Pulling for The Dolphin in Rock a Nore, Ye Olde Pump House Geogre Street and The Stag All Saints Street.
The Dolphin made up of 3rd team players taking part for the thrid year got to the final losing to the Borune Florist Team (not your average flower arrangers).
Sea Boot Race
A couple of the ladies from the club took part and showed good speed on the day.
Pram Race
Club members spread out through this event and I think spent more time researching the pubs and bars than racing on the night.
The Carnival
This was a event that had been looked forward to for somtime. It would require timing, determination, brut-force and a little beer of Friday night.
Hastings and Bexhill would like to thank St Leonards Motors Body Repair Centre for the use of a vehicle along with Alan Verity for the Scaffolding and George Cullingford for the wood. The scotts chipped in with the rope and canvas and of course the members that give their time and effortts both building the Pirate Ship and Helping look after the children on the float.
